The U.S. Census Bureau (of the U.S. Department of Commerce) has put out the 130th edition of the U.S. Government’s principal reference book:
the 2011 Statistical Abstract of the United States
First published in 1878, the Statistical Abstract is an authoritative and comprehensive compilation of statistics on social, political, economic and other aspects of the United States.
Contributors of data to the Statistical Abstract include the Census Bureau, U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (of the U.S. Department of Labor), U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis (of the Commerce Department), and many other U.S. federal agencies, as well as private sector organizations.
